Incorrect server side,Arma II installation

I bought Arma X this week and also got a new laptop yesterday I installed the game and am in the process of installing again, can someone please give me an idoits guide to getting DayZ, I tried to get it using six updater but that failed, I also tried to get it via the link on the DayZ site however the links I download dont seem to work to well, Im a total noob and really need help.

using the six updater is the easiest and safest way to get it running. are you sure you did the "right steps" while using it?

detailed step by step tutorial on six updater (there is lots more on youtube)...

In the title you said something about incorrect server side - did you try connecting to a server with the up-to-date version as well?

Yes I did have it installed I believe, I could get into lobbys but not able to spawn in on the servers it would come up with the server message, I have downloaded patch 93965 and DayZv1.7.1.5 I then unpacked the files from the DayZ site put them in the correct destination in the directory and enabled '@DayZ' and 'DayZ'

Most servers are in beta 94444.

But it is still not working for me too...

absolutely exhausted with it, there is noone this should be so hard, still I want to play it so badly
