Former Echo Trooper 8 Posted July 2, 2022 IMO looting and loot storage is broken. The amount of time it takes to loot a body is way to short. You can literally grab and go. Picking up a dropped gun from the ground is one thing, but grabbing stacks of the right ammo off the body at the same time, makes zero sense. In this aspect, Escape From Tarkov is more realistic. It uses the game mechanic of having to wait while you search plus each item has to get identified. Plus, how can you justify being able to loot, for example, their shirt when they are face down in the dirt without having to flip over the body? Or you just snatch off their pants instantly without using their zipper or undoing their belt? As far as loot storage goes, how can a t-shirt pocket that’s approximately three inches by four inches, hold a pistol, spare mag, and extra ammo? It should be a one by one not a twelve slot. And each pocket should be a specific size. Again, like EFT. The different backpacks have different pocket configurations and the items that you can place in them should reflect that. Again, this is my opinion, YMMV.
Former Echo Trooper 8 Posted July 2, 2022 While on the subject of looting. Why can’t we loot all the clothing off the infected? Yes it’d be damaged or worse, but could be used for rags if nothing else. The military infected offer mor loot on average, which is understandable, but even then, their uniforms aren’t. And they look prestine. Why aren’t the heli crash infected’s uniforms burnt, torn or at the very least, damaged. After all, they crashed a helicopter that was shot down by someone.
