Gas Zone Vision Impairment

Recommended Posts

Rify is a hot spot for fresh spawns looking for a quick gear up.

They run in without the proper gear, look for an m4/sval; run out; die; respawn (only once if they're lucky) then run back to grab their high tier loot without much effort.

What if gas zones impaired the players vision? Blurry like, as if the eyes are burning and tearing up from exposure to toxic gas. Blurriness could last 5-15 seconds once out of the zone depending on exposure.

Blurriness could fade in an out to allow survivors, like ones whose filters have run out or their masks ruined, to be able to see where they're fleeing too.

IRL I could see someone desperate enough run into a gas zone with only a mask to suffer the burns and get high tier loot. But I doubt any sane person would risk their life for a gun they could only use for a few minutes before death.

As someone who’s had to scream “My eyes are open and my arms are flapping”, I totally agree. Can’t tell you how many guys have ran head on into a tree when coming out of the gas chamber in basic. You can barely make out the fact you’re outside, much less which direction you’re running.
