Item despawn

If I throw a bag down during combat, how long is it untill it and everything inside despawns?

All the items have different lifetimes before despawning if not interacted with. If not changed by the server owner the standard lifetime for backpacks is currently 28800 seconds or 8 hours before despawning. Nothing inside will despawn until the bag itself despawns.
