Youlaseas 7 Posted March 31, 2022 I want my money back, Steam will not give me a refund because I have gone over the two hour limit. Bear in mind those 2 hours were trying to fix the game to make it playable. Zero communication from Bohemia, Absolute diabolical customer service and state of a game that's been out for nearly 10 years I shall be making posts every day until i get some communication or a full refund for said product. If Bohemia do not want to adhere, I shall take legal action on a faulty product as is in Consumer Rights
Tristan Cooper 12 Posted April 2, 2022 Okay, I can’t remember, but did it have you read terms and service before you played? Because if so they probably clarified that they aren’t guaranteeing that the product works. They do the same thing with ea terms and service.
DefectiveWater 539 Posted April 2, 2022 (edited) https://feedback.bistudio.com/project/view/2/ Did you post your issue here? Also, here's some random comments from people having same issue as you do, their suggestions might help you: Quote My fix was unfortunately super simple. Once you turn the game on go to the battle eye option, check the box that says you agree to the rules. Then there is a confirm or agree button at the very bottom of the box that pops up. I had to click and drag the box up so I could see it. But yes that was my fix. Very simple and made me feel real dumb lol. Quote 0x00400f0 go to my documents delete DayZ folder load game and the game should wile loading pop up the battle eye agreement for that server and click accept. other wise nuke it and uninstall and unlike all mods and reload everything. and if you get the 0x0004004 same thing and if you get a pbo error unlike the mod its says is doing it re add it, if that doesn't work right click dayz in your library browse local files and delete the dta and addons then verify the file integrity. Quote I found a fix by uninstalling msi center and verifying game files on steam. The bloat ware was causing the issue for me. Quote I had the same error, I fixed it by turning off my VPN. Apparently battlEye doesn’t work with VPNs Here's a response I found from BI employee: Quote 0x000400F0 is either a kick from battleye or from the server admin (the latter applies only to community servers). For the BattlEye error, you could try deleting the BattlEye files from your C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\BattlEye and C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DayZ\BattlEye (this is the directory with your game install, can be different across the users depending on where you installed your game). then verify your game data and launch the game - Both of the BE folders need to be deleted in order to successfuly re-install BattlEye, deleting just one will not help. Are you trying to join official or community server? Hopefully some of these fixes it for you (maybe you tried all of them already), but sadly I have to say you might not get your refund by contacting BI. Keep contacting Steam customer service and explain your situation to them. Edited April 2, 2022 by DefectiveWater
