Damn problem with DayZ.

Recommended Posts

Some totally unexplained damn problem that haunts me and keeps me from playing for 6 months or so. At some point in the middle of patch 1.13 (so hardly a problem with the update) the game started to malfunction. The main symptoms of the problem: the game freezes sharply in random order with a frequency of 10-15 minutes (FPS drops from 150-200 to 0). Freezing lasts about 1-2 minutes, after which the FPS sharply returns to the previous 150-200. However, the game is guaranteed to freeze in the same way when you kill any creature (NPC, player, it doesn't matter). The corpse of the creature freezes in the same position in which it was before the fall of FPS, and does not fall to the floor, as it usually happens. Freezing occurs on any server of the main game: both on custom servers with modifications and on official servers. However, no problems arise on the experimental server branch. System configuration: GPU - RTX 3070 8GB, RAM - 16GB DDR4, CPU - I9 9900k, 200GB SSD. I tried to run the game on different systems, with different Internet providers - no results. The problem persists from the middle of patch 1.13 to patch 1.15. The text is an amateur translation from Russian, ask if something is not clear. I did not find a solution on the Internet and people with a similar problem, I am waiting for feedback. Thanks.

You only have 200gb SSD? Game isn't on a hard drive perhaps? I've heard stories that game starts lagging in a weird way once it's not on the same drive as Steam.

And your SSD isn't full?

У вас только SSD на 200 гб ? Возможно, игры нет на жестком диске? Я слышал истории о том, что игра начинает странно отставать, если она находится не на одном диске со Steam.

И ваш SSD не заполнен?

The game and Steam are indeed on separate discs. I will try to install the game according to your advice.

No, there is about 50GB of storage left on the SSD.

Reinstalled the game and steam on the same disc but that didn't fix the problem.
