I have had this happen on several occasions, over the last few updates, (1.11-1.14) there have been times when i will enter a military building, and use my vicinity to check for things my eyes don't spot. In the showers of most barracks on community servers is usually (almost always) a guaranteed full gun. The scene goes as follows;
I enter said room, scan with my eyes and grab what i do see. I open the inventory tab to check for anything i missed. I see a full gun in the tab. I use my mouse to try to pick up the weapon, and it gets a STOP symbol over all attatchments (circle with a line through it) Then it goes back to lookin like a perfectly good full gun on the tab. I close my tab and glance around, and i see where the gun thinks it is, and it is invisible. (ghost gun)
