Heckler & Koch G3A3

Recommended Posts

Just a simple suggestion. Add to the base game the West German H&K G3A3, a classic weapon competitor of the FN FAL, both chambered in the same caliber. It has an interesting history, coming from Spanish CETME B, and this coming from one of the last German prototypes before WWII was over, the Sturmgewehr 45.

The H&K G3A3, developed in the 50s, was the first widely mass-produced battle rifle by Heckler & Koch, and adopted by many countries for many years, still used today by some.

Anyone that loves weapons would know this iconic one, that fortunately didn't have the chance to take part in many conflicts. If you know the H&K MP5, you will find the esthetic similarities, since both were designed by Ludwig Vorgrimler, while working for H&K.

There is a very well-made mod for it already, but I think it would be nice to have it in vanilla.

Comparing in units built, there has been produced about 8.000.000 of G3, 7.000.000 of FAL, or 11.000.000 of AKM. So the G3 is not a rare weapon, and as I said in my previous post, there are many countries that either used or still use it nowadays.

Here is a link with more information about it for anyone interested.
