rackinglad27 138 Posted September 15, 2021 these random gas strikes will change the game in a good way I believe. just think before these were introduced to the game we never really saw many people roaming the wilderness (especially on console) now with these gas attacks hitting mili bases and towns and major cities it will make for more encounters out in the fields and forests due to players being wary of looting said places. where we once felt safe in the forests of livonia and chernarus, will now become bloodbaths and I like it. 😁
William Sternritter 449 Posted September 15, 2021 Not much change for me personally, I rather stick to the nature than towns 🙂
Tonyeh 454 Posted September 15, 2021 Agreed. It really hasn't made any difference to my playtime. It's too much of a pain in the arse to go around trying to collect all the NBC gear, so that means that the permanently gassed areas are just a no go for me and, TBH, I think the novelty will wear off for a lot of players in the near future. But I agree with @rackinglad27 that this is a good thing. City looters will have to adjust, maybe more people will be roaming the nature and with the static zones, finally places like Rifi make sense. Without the gas it was quite WTF to have high-end military loot just laying around on the coast. It's not as much about novelty but completing the map in this case. Tonyeh 454 Posted September 15, 2021 Sure, it's a decent development. Personally, I still pretty meh about it though. But it's WIP still so we'll see where it goes. It's cool hearing a shell flying overhead though. In any case, I'm on Zero Experimental at the moment trying to gather together the gear for a looksee at Pavlovo, even though I said it's a PITA to get the clown suit. But somehow I managed to get salmonella and that, sure as shit, is one of the most annoying things I've ever experienced in DayZ, so it's making that task doubly irritating. 🤬
