preferring tent locations

i was wondering why i dont see tents in the woods ... yeah i know, im not supposed to, but i rly walked a lot alrdy ...

so i was wondering, is everybody hiding his tent very well or am i just unlucky?

the first times, i hide my tent very well and find a good plave for it... but that place is just a little bit far away of where i wanna be atm, so im just placing my tent somewhere else in the woods... but i dont see a lot of places to hide it near to the locations i want to loot...

so i wonder, if everybody place their tents far away or next to where they want to be?

for myself: i plant it near my place... not rly hidden, but good enough that u dont see it if u dont walk a weird way ... just when i got rly good equipment, i go to "my place"

Most are isolated somewhere really far out in bum-fuck nowhere. They can be hard to spot if you are just running around the forest blindly.

Far away from any place you want to be. Most places you want to be, others also want to be.

Tends to be a bad idea to have a tent relatively close. You take quite a risk, many players will "walk a weird way".

I assume you'll find yourself having a lot more luck once out-of-map camps are wiped.
