Question about vehicles

Do you need keys to drive a vehicle in this game? I am seeing conflicting info.

My friend and i are trolling each other in game and i can see he has a car now. I want to go steal it but have never driven before. Trying to determine how to drive etc... If i accidentally crash it into a pond or a tree is it done for? i don't want to ruin it, just hide it. :) https://9apps.ooo/

Moded servers sometimes have keys and other strange things. I play only official servers so I'm not 100% sure about private ones.

On official server there are no keys and you need to ride:

-4 Wheels,

-Car battery,

-Radiator, (+ water inside it)

-Spark plug,

-Fuel

The exception is a M3S Truck. It only needs Truck battery (its different that car battery), fuel and 4 wheels (truck have 6 wheels total but 2 in front and 2 in back are enough to ride but it rides better with 6). It does not need radiator and spark plug.
