want to buy a console to start playing day z on. which ever console runs the game the best! any input would be appreciated thanks

You just ask this question last month?  The answer hasn't really changed.  I mentioned it before in that other thread but even the issues experienced by players aren't necessarily shared by all even on the same platform.  If you're looking for guarantees of which would provide a better, more problem-free experience, no one can give you that.  ....but as I said before, the nod probably goes to MS.  

Personally, I wouldn't buy any console just to play this game but if I did, it would be next gen.  ....I wouldn't waste my money on last gen if you're looking for the best performance.
