I'll start off by saying "This mod is awesome" and then I'll get into the meat of my discussion: enhancements.

I've been playing for only a few days now and I love it. The suspense, the excitement, the unknown, all amazing. I love roaming the wilderness, stumbling across a small hunting cabin, checking the surroundings for zombies, crawling into the shack, and getting mauled on my way out! Great feeling!

However, what I think is lacking to keep the players coming back is a sense of accomplishment. A goal. Some driving force to make the players feel like the world of Day Z needs their help. The way it is now, we spawn, we find things, we try not to die, we start dying, we make bold decisions to find things to keep us from dying, then we die. Start all over.

Possible additions to create the sense of accomplishment:

-Instead of making zombies spawn in towns, make them spawn randomly but migrate towards the nearest one. I'll explain why in a minute...

-Watching zombie movies, one of the greatest tactics is bunkering down. There needs to be this same option!

-Make towns a hot spot (I know...they are already, but with the zombie spawn location being The Town there is no chance for the players to control the towns) where zombies and players try to survive in groups by controlling towns.

-Not only will this inspire a community environment (like in zombie movies...people working together to survive) where people work together to keep the zombies out, it also motivates people to log in more frequently to assist with the defense of a controlled objective.

-Planned attacks on zombie controlled towns could be broadcasted. Migrations of players across the continent.

-Reconnaissance missions to collect ammo, food, water, and tools.

If you want to make this game FEEL like a possible zombie survival experience, I think this would be a great approach. Although I do already get the sense of what it would be like if I was alone in a zombie world, having outposts or towns potentially controlled by players would be amazing!

Either way, this is just my simple minded idea. I'm thoroughly enjoying your mod already and anything added would just be fantastic!

Signed,

James
