Just found a dead survivor with G36 SD ammo, is it legit?

Found a Dead survivor at stary sobor, who had all the gear you could ever want... M4 SD, PDW, NVG, GPS, Rangefinder, Coyote backpack, etc etc and whatnots...wearing normal survivor cloths. His name was Ivan (according to Study body).

Okayyyy, might have been a really good player, since it was on a hardcore server. But! he also had 20 G36 SD clips, which made me afraid it was hacked (also the russian name). Or is it possible it was from the nearby crashed chopper?

1 minute later we came under fire from a Sniper, who ofcause left when we shot him back....hope he bleeds out on a another server (but that is beside the point)

The M4 I lost to the lovely arma inventory system...but I still got the rest of his lovely stuff.

Do I have to drop it? and do I also have to drop all the regular items (rare and in the mod but probably hacked)

Ditch it. G36 ain't in the mod.

Yeah well, i am also worried about the rest of the loot...The NVGs, GPS, Rangefinder...since it might be hacked in too (hell even the backpack)

and if i have to ditch everything i picked up from him....i will be stuck with My trusty SAW....and about nothing else :/ but the loot looked so damn tasty.

You can keep the items that spawn in-game, such as the Coyote Backpack, NVGs, Rangefinder and such. But holding onto the items that don't appear in the mod is just asking for trouble.

yeah....You guys are right...dropping the G36 ammo.

If a Dayz-Admin/mod tells me I have to drop the rest, ofc I will. But I would love some confirmation.

The rest of the gear is in game with the exception of that G36C. Have a blast with the rest of it.
