Wooden Crates in Tent (Official)

Hi

can some1 explain me, how i can put a wooden crate in my Medium Tent ??
i know its possible cuz i saw it sometimes when found some1s base, but how to do that ?
typically i cant do this cuz while i get the crate in my hand i must stand, so i cant crouch with it and crawl into the Medium Tent
so how ppl do this ?

another question, when i want to put a crate or a barrel to stay with the 45 persistance days, i have to put it with the specific gray/white placement or i can just drop it from hands so it fall on the ground in strange position and still be persistance for the 45 dayz ??

does the placement system or just DROP option gives the same result without worry ?

PS: can some1 explain me why ppl make bases in buildings where every1 can easy know/find ?? i wonder why do ppl waste much time for base buuilding while it can be raided so easilly, especially in big towns ??
itsn better to just HIDE THE SAME crates or barrels in some good forest/bush/nowhere area instead of making wooden construction which are easy to detect and be raided by just randoms ?
