You can find it other locations such as hunting stands.

I normally head for cherno or another hospital with an empty back-pack to raid hospitals for maximum loot.

I'm just messing around right now but my normal modus is to find an axe and loot a hospital. The game is such that no morphine = inevitable crawling death.

Top left there is a toolbar type morphine and it will list all locations that can drop it.

Yeah I tried item_morphine in that but it seems to be every location. Most of the locations that it highlights don't list it in their spawn list.

also morphine spawns suck, the only way to get it safely & reliably is to get it on your initial spawn in when you have nothing to lose. the spawn rate in military is far too low

He's right, it CAN spawn in treestands and other locations but it's all too rare...safest bet is to go for the hospital. Throw a tin can at the left-most window or hit it with an axe. Or go to the top and check the boxes but this would leave you vulnerable to snipers.

I always do a mad dash into Cherno/Elektro when I first begin to stock up on those essential early-game items...it's the best time to do it since you have nothing to lose. Also the best time to fuck with those guys who have nothing better to do than camp Cherno/Elektro. Whenever a guy kills me I make sure to spawn close by, attract a huge hoard (my undead Army), and run right to my killer's location...vengeance is best served undead. :)
