PC loot mechanic on Console

It would work. One designated button can flip loot vertical or horizontal and the directional pad selects where to place an object. Why hasn't this been emplemented?

I'd be happy if the inventory and loot system actually worked properly for once but beyond that, I'm not really seeing a benefit to the PC system vs. console to be honest.  ......unless I'm missing something.
