Base Building

Recommended Posts

I love DayZ and have been playing most days since it came out on console.

One thing I feel is really missing is propper base building. Being a survival game, I personally think base building should be a lot more in depth. If you were trying to survive what would you want to do? Probably spending your time to build somewhere to live. I know we can build walls etc but they are super basic and way too easy to destroy. There should be much more customisation and options. I think this would massively improve the game. It would be great being able to spend weeks/months building up a base with your friends. At the moment you can pretty much create somewhere basic in a few hours and then there's not much more you can do to it.

Adding new guns is cool and thank you for doing that but I do think focusing on base building would add another whole survival aspect to the game and probably bring back a lot of old players and more new.

Well this is one of the reasons why people should play this game on a PC ... we already have advanced base building thanks to mods. 🙂

Hey man. Yeah, I'd love to play on PC but I can't afford to buy one.

It would be good if the Devs were open to looking at these mods and seeing if they can use some of the code to implement it into console.
