Hello, when I try to join a server, it brings up steam and basically tells me ARMA 2 is required to play.

I have downloaded and installed ARMA 2 (both original and expansion required, non steam versions) last week, and had it up and running earlier this week.

My question is, is there a way to get it to recognize the non steam version of ARMA 2 or will I have to contact Bohemia about this and see if it is possible to exchange the games?

Problem has changed. Discovered I am rather silly and should be able to access it via the ARMA multiplayer menu in game. I have tried that and now it is failing to join the games.

If it helps: I bought the combined operations set through the ARMA website and downloaded the digital copies. installed ARMA 2 and the arrowhead expansion (the combined operations)
