Game Crash

Recommended Posts

Recently, as of the newest DayZ update I've been experiencing crashing upon loading the game. If I use the Normal Dayz Launcher I load up until the game would show me the main menu and it immediately crashes. If  using the DZSA Launcher if I select a server it loads me up until I'm about to see my character and I crash. I tried to see if DayZ experimental would also crash, and it does not. I've check my events log and it tells me Bad_Module_Info_error and If I use the normal dayz launcher it gives me Status_Violation. Also another werid side note, if there is a 50 man queue for the server, until I load past all 50 and start to join myself, I don't crash.

I've tried a number of fixes,

Reinstalling the game

Verifying steam files

deleting %appdata% dayz file

deleting Dayz file in documents

Changing Dayz.64.exe to disable full screen optimization

My Drivers are all up to date

Nothing seems to work, I'm willing to try any other suggestions. Could anyone please help me? It'd be much appreciated and Thank you for reaching out.

Hello my friends.

I am experiencing the same problem. Since the update game started crashing with this error code "0xC0000005 - STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION"
I have tried multiple fixes:
- running the game with no mods
- reinstalling the game
- running the game as admin and steam as admin
- changing the owner of game directory
- purging game files in /Documents/DayZ and %localappdata%/DayZ
- performing BIOS update
- disabling any active overlays or programs such as Discord overlay, Steam overlay, ReLive recording and overlay
- turning off all background programs
- updating GPU drivers
- changing GPU drivers for old version
- formatting my PC entirely

None of these worked.
Please help!

Ah. I see you too have found the youtube video after searching every reddit post and forum for Dayz SA. Yes, typing -nocharmenu in your dayz parameters after deleting your Dayz folder from your documents should fix the issue, at least it did for me. I don't know however if it's a permanent fix.
