Vehicles, Headlights, Storage?

I have a few questions related to vehicles i was hoping someone could answer...

1. I need to know if headlights work on console? I have them installed but it seems like theres no button prompt.

2. Can you put barrels in the trunk? I tried a fire barrel the other day and it didn't work.

3. Tips for your car not to fly away while driving

lol i have a really old character I'm driving with (probably will regret but i can't resist) but so far it seems alright, a few desyncs when driving through a town, a few freezes here and there, the best thing I've learned is to keep the tires on the vehicle when you leave it somewhere, unless perhaps on a flat surface or unless you like bumpy rides. I'm planning on driving pretty far today to a base i just abandoned and my main concern is mainly with if and how headlights work on console as i have no batteries for my nvg and am worried I won't be able to see if night falls. I know about the gears and sketchy speeds but if you have any other tips that might be useful that would be appreciated.
