Game Consistently Freezing on 'Press A to start game'

The only way I can play the game is if my Xbox has just been fully shut down and I have not loaded any other games beforehand. If either of these conditions are not met, the game freezes indefinitely on the 'Press A to Start the game' portion of the title screen.
This also applies if I have played DayZ earlier. For example, I play DayZ for a little while. Then, I exit the game to eat lunch but leave my Xbox on. If I try to load the game again, it freezes on this screen. The problem has persisted through multiple installs. I am current on all system and game updates (XB1X).
Anyone else ever experienced this issue in some capacity?
