ZBA 66 Posted July 3, 2020 (edited) I mean I like dayz updates (aside from fact that they are small but I understand that devs have porbably limited human resources or something) BUT When devs adding something they never do it like in right way. They have good ideas but implementation is awful. Example: -Why bases in 1.08 are still easy to ride? You need like 6 or 7 grenades to break trough fuckin single wall. Its joke. One solo man can ride like 2 walls without any problems because grenades are more common than food. -Why grenades deal DMG to walls that are 10 meters from explosion? -Why there is no (even small) debris effect when wall or barrel is destroyed by explosion? The walls just "poof" and they disappear. -Why I cannot put walls or towers "a little bit" inside models on map? I can understand that you want to prevent from building stupid bases inside houses that are unraidable or something but I cant even build wall on pavement and I need to make sure that construction is on 100% clear terrain. -Why we cannot just take hammer, crowbar, sledge hammer or something and destroy models inside buildings to make more space for our bases? These props are mostly useless so why you wont give us option to interact with them? -Why we cannot just barricade inside like house or building like in "real" zombie apocalypse where we just barricade windows, make better doors or something but instead we must use this huge useless wooden walls that make no sense for immersion. Just create an option to interact with every window and every door in game to "upgrade it" like adding more wood to it, metal sheets, codelocks etc. -Why we cannot add attachments to car that would protect us AND THE CAR when driving? Like metal sheets around car, spikes or other cool parts. It is same mechanic as adding hood, doors so what the problem? If you know that dayz have huge problem with server performance that effect car driving just add option to protect our cars from uncontrolled incident AND also you can just make cars more durable to crash until you fix performance. SoWeMeetAgain 100 Posted July 3, 2020 -grenades are not more common than food, don't be ridiculous -balancing raidability and utility of bases is hard, but I don't think this was a bad step, maybe add item decay in storage to help -grenades throw out fragmentation, they can fly even further than 10m -graphics for walls or barrels being destroyed will most likely be brought later, yes that would be nice -how would you, realistically, put down a log into pavement? -we cannot destroy models inside buildings because of engine limitations, where this game comes from -there will surely be more buildable things in the future -there will surely be car modding in the futurre get patient and stop being so salty 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
