Tents - Proper procedure and general stability?

Recommended Posts

So I found a tent a few days back. My buddy and I plopped it down and put some stuff in it. After the hive attack i was worried we lost everything. Luckily, we went back and found the tent, but our sutff was gone. maybe we got raided, shit happens or maybe our stuff just got lost. Plopped a gun in it and went off. Figure if the gun gets taken, our spot was found. Came back a day later.... the whole tent was gone......

So I'd like to ask three questions.

1) What is the proper procedure for placing/saving and storing stuff in a tent.

2) how stable are tents currently?

3) Are tents expected to be improved in the near future?

I usually place one expendable item into a new tent, save the tent, and then soon after relog on the server to see if the tent is eating loot. If it does I move the tent elsewhere and repeat, although I'm not certain that this makes any difference.

Tents are no more stable than any other storage in the game that I'm aware of, but I've had far more luck with them than scavenging my own body post-death.

All things are expected to be improved in the near future, but Rocket and team get to decide how near the near future is.

1) Place tent. Place item(s) in Tent. Save Tent.

2) After tent placement, it may or may not appear after a server restart. Additional restart may bring it back.

3)Yes.

Yeah put only one non important item in the tent, and if that tent makes a server reset and that item is still in it, it will save every other item 100 percent of the time. You just need to make the first save and it not wipe your stuff and then your tents are good to go.

I place a tent put a bandage in it and check it several times sometimes it can take like 3 server resets but eventually it works and then its never eaten my items after that.
