Toni Sinapayen 0 Posted March 10, 2020 Hello I used to make plenty of dedicated servers for CS 1.6/CSS/TF2/L4D. Is that possible to set up a dedicated server for DAYZ PS4 on my machine? I dont trust Nitrado i had some bad experience with them, and i want to have full control of my server. if yes, it will be awesome to improve the experience of the game, its so glitchy that i really want to dig and make a proper stable and clean server by myself. Liquidat1on 0 Posted July 19, 2020 The glitches that you are experiencing can be really annoying and if it would be possible to have a dedicated server it would be great. I really hate it that it is still like that and they should really give us the option to use whatever dedicated server we want. But they probably just want to make more money and that is normal because that is the tactic that everyone has today. I would love to use my dedicated server from GTHost. They have really good option of bare metal server. With those kind of servers you get really good performance because they are using really powerful components. It is great really great because you can get it for really cheap from them. I use it for other games and it sorts out all the glitches. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Obviously the reason they don't introduce solo sessions, etc. It's a money maker for both which is why they are in this partnership with them. .....although I thought a few months back they were switching hosts but maybe that was just their official servers. Either way, for PS4 the only option is a 10 or more server for $13 USD IIRC. I don't know why they don't offer the 4 for $5 (which is what I would use) but I mentioned to their staff once before. ....they said they would consider it. I'm not the type to don the tin foil hat when things don't go my way but I have to wonder if some of the design decisions are sometimes made to try and push people into renting a server. .....a reduction of food / items in the official servers and so on. On my server I customize some of the spawns and tailor some of the other settings to create my own gameplay experience.
