After playing for about 10 min the fps suddenly drops significantly

Recommended Posts

Hello guys!
Finally after years I got a good (in relation to my previous) laptop.
i7-10510U
GeForce MX230
16gb RAM
512gb SSD
The game runs smoothly with high setting, but after playing for about 10 min the fps drops to like 10 fps. I tried lowering the settings to minimum and it didn't help. Restarted the game and again it runs smoothly for another 10 min roughly. Then again the fps drops. It's pretty annoying.
If anyone knows what can I do to make it stop I will be forever grateful.
Thank you guys!

do object quality low-medium
Shadow quality to low
terrain... i guess medium but it's forced by server config
Ambient Occlusion either off or medium... low is so bad it shouldn't exist but it's your choice... but your GPU seems trash so keep it off

idk settings... but also... since it is a laptop and your fps drops after 10min... it's probably overheating and thermal throttling... so keep it cool i guess but it also might be settings or both... so if you could drop a screenshot of your settings

Have you cleaned the dust out of your computer lately? Overheating CPU's can often cause that exact problem.
