Ability to throw items.

As we all know that the update is again postponed, could I put this to you fine body of people.

 

How will the throwing of items going to be implemented on console. 

I haven't got the foggiest as to how it's gonna work. 

 

Will we have another controller mapping to contend with.

 

Is throwing causing the delays ?

How do you currently drop an item in console? On PC you press G to drop something, and hold G to initiate the throwing stance. Once in throwing state (you can let go of G), you hold down the fire button (left mouse on PC) to throw. The longer you hold it, the further it goes.

Perhaps it will be these equivalents. Although, I have vague memories of having to hold a button to drop something on console...

To drop on console we press Xmas button wit has the item in hand. 

Oulston be that button and a the fire button. 

Guess we will find out next week

We hold x to drop items. Can see it being something like hold LT then press x to change stance.

Is X also to open doors, etc? The amount of times I’d leave a weapon behind because I’d accidentally held X too long.

@ThePugman Yes, you gotta hold it for a good second though, there's no way that could be a problem.
