While that is true the map is big I have personally seen 2 people clear a certain grid area north to south in 30 mins finding all camps and vehicles in that search area. Those who are familiar with the map and arma will always find anything hidden

I've had this happen and it wasnt fun. Thats why my vehicles are offmap. Also, sometimes the inventory gets wiped due to bugs. I've lost so many coyote packs and rare rifles...

Like I said, losing your gear is all part of DayZ, what fun is the game if you live forever just shooting noobs for thier uselss gear, that you dont need seeing as you already have everything.

Living means your doing something right I have people in my group who have been alive for 90+ days and they don't just hide in the woods they loot major cities. Personally I would rather stay alive gather supplies, control areas, and have a logistics system going within my group. Also I love how Anders posted that after this thread got some attention good thing that Picture was over a month old LOL

just pick a popular server and run up the west border, you will find enough cars and tents to equip a group, even now as most tents are wiped on every server restart (some few tents seem to be immune to restarts).

To be honest, by hoarding every possible vehicle, you are denying yourself of enormous fun. Random encounters, chases and ambushes of other people's vehicles are some the game's most fun PVP.

Our group of 10 people could easily have hoarded most of the server's cars and stuff, but we choose not to. Except for one or two, the ones we see get taken for a joyride and either blown up or abandoned when we are done. That way they respawn/get repaired and we can do it again.

Although i lost my main tent (cant find it.. if only i knew the SUV had a GPS before i lost it... and if i only had mine..

Alas, i only lost 1 cobra. and i currently have a gps, compass, 2Xbinocs, SUV, G17, PDW, Kobra, M16A2. the rest? i GAVE them away to people that i haven't seen since, either because of timezone/scheduling issues, or just them losing interest And i continue to do this. i have no need for a stash of guns i won't use, or a stash of cars. Others, they do have use. Although what i would like is to run a company on the server that helps the noobs, and just grows. but meh, most i've had was 4 people in my van.

Also, if your wondering how i got all that stuff. i'm based in the north, been playing over a week based in the north, doing about 2 NWAF raids a day, although most Solo so i dont get much.

So yeah. thats my story.

And if this is a necro i'm sorry, but i googled somthing about a DayZ gas map and got started here...
