Dayz used to be a hard game especially at night that if you didnt have any light source it would be really hardcore to survive, and if you did have any source of light, you could get killed if seen by another player, but that was great, the night could be used to a lot of stuff like raids, building or fortifying you base for example. but now there is no need for light sources anymore and because of this and other updates the game is becoming less fun but mainly less survival. Server ownsers can disable the Night Light but it's enabled by default. If you are playing on a community/modded server you can still try to ask them to disable the feature 🙂
