  1. Just download Dayz Server from steam (in the tools section of your library)
  2. Look for a tutorial of how to port forward with your internet provider
  3. Open the port "2302" in UDP and TCP
  4. You should probably do the same for steam but I don't know if it's needed.... And I don't think ?
  5. Go to "Steam\steamapps\common\DayZServer" and create a txt file
  6. Inside of this txt file write this https://pastebin.com/xvhRq8ar
  7. Save as "Launcher.bat"
  8. Start "Launcher.bat"

You can now join your own server in the LAN tab ingame while your server is running.

If you want your friends to join you, they probably just need to join you with steam or by filtering the server browser with your IPv4 (just google "what is my ip")

I suggest you google OmegaManager. That will let you deploy a server instance very easily. It will also add firewall rules. Any mods you use will autoupdate as will the server files themselves.
