Any way to make your base 100% secure ?

Recommended Posts

I mean you can fence in your stuff but its so easy to bypass that by changing server and entering the room, then changing back to the server.

Any way to prevent this behaviour ?

You can. Get hacks, spawn a Carrier off in the sea .. And its gonna be the most awesome base and safe also !

Maybe with a 49 person clan. Other than that, no, not right now.

or on an island....but that requires a boat and keeping the boat safe :)

You don't need a boat, you can just go there swimming on another server, even if you loose your backpack isn't a big trouble since you can then loot the (supposed) camp there and get all the stuff u need.

Well that sucks balls. Sounds like the solutions are:

Switching servers puts you back at a random spawn point.

or

Characters are server-bound

Yup, random spawn point near the logout place though. What if the random factor put you at the stash? Sure there could be locks and you couldn't spawn 50 meters or less of a distance to a lock. That would be one way to go. Then admins would start hacking and spamming locks into the game until everyone who joined would be forced to spawn in some little area or no area at all.

There's a proposal in the suggestions forum, in a thread opened by me. To resume it was about: if you logout and change your server, you will respawn in a random place; if you relog on the same server from where you just logged out, you will respawn in the same place.

This will not only give us the possibility to fortificate certain places, but it will also solve many other issues: you cannot do server hopping for looting anymore; you cannot swap on another server to move behind your enemy; plus if you're a serial disconnector you're going to spawn on the beach at any disconnection.

Not that good of an idea tbh.

Explain why it isn't.

This is a terrible idea. Goodbye to tagging along with friends. The idea of "base fortification and security" is in direct contrast to the game's philosophy, NOTHING is "your property", there are no locks, there are no safe zones, there is only hiding and praying nobody finds your stuff. The solution to having people disconnecting and moving behind you is to move yourself! Don't just sit and camp the same spot all day, that is going to get you killed.

All this does is let even more carebears be dumb in a game that was designed specifically to have no rules.
