Offline Server - Not showing in LAN server list

I have been following guides for about 3 hours so far and I can get the server running fine but it never shows up in the LAN section in the game, I just cant find the server. I tried on regular Dayz and Experimental and no go. The last guide I followed is https://write.corbpie.com/installing-and-setting-up-a-dayz-standalone-server-on-windows-server-2016-guide/and I even have the firewall ports open even though I only plan on playing local.  Can anyone help please?

 

I did try hardcoding the IP 127. and it rejects it as bad version,  whatever that means.   I download both the game and the server last night (just bought it)

EDIT - matched the server versions by putting both the server and game in experimental and hardcoding the IP in parameters lets me in but does not let me customize my character and does not show up in the server list.   Is this how it works?
