combatcomm1 234 Posted July 5, 2012 Ok, so I just deleted steam and arma for a fresh reload. (had some ramdisk and file issues). But as I redownload I thought oh shit did I just ruin my current character?? Who has all high end gear including NVGs?? How does the central database store my character? Would the character ID have changed with a reinstall of arma?? Thanks in advance
Scott1 0 Posted July 5, 2012 Doesnt seem to have anything to do with the local client (which would be easy to hack) and everything to do with the backend database.

AlfalphaCat 66 Posted July 5, 2012 Either way, don't get attached to your stuff.
kid18120 0 Posted July 5, 2012 Your character is safe.. as far as i know the ingame character is bind to your userID (the one you can see in your A2 player profile menu, numeric like) which is unique and bind to the cdkey itself.
djkling 5 Posted July 5, 2012 You only screwed yourself by getting attached to you gear ;)
