When the Hunter Becomes the Hunted on Norway 3

Recommended Posts

It was a pitch black night and I had just gotten done crawling through the military tents at Stary Sobor looking for the dmr I have wanted for so long, when I saw flares in the fields adjacent to Stary. I went up to a vantage point on a hill and heard gunshots; the flares were surrounding a crashed chopper and there were two survivors clearing out the zombies around it. I thought, "Alright, target practice," as I moved in for a closer look.

I took a pretty well forested route as I am a very wary player, and thought I for sure had the jump on them as they obviously didnt have night vision or they wouldnt be able to see anything at all with those flares going. I set myself up under a tree next to a shrub where I was sure I would be pretty safe, however, as I was making my approach, I lost them. I kept trying to look at the chopper with my night vision except the screen would just glow bright white in the area of the flares and i couldnt see anything. It didnt help that my FN FAL also had a night scope on it, so I was pretty screwed. I kept having to switch back and forth between nvg's and regular vision and it was giving me a huge disadvantage, with the nvg's i could see everything not in the area illuminated by the flares and without I could only see the flares.

I was scanning the field without night vision on and I saw two figures and I scrambled to bring up my rifle. There he was, crouched, holding what looked to be my very same rifle, one which I assume he had looted only seconds ago. I pulled the trigger as fast as I could, yet it wasn't fast enough. He had the jump. His bullet left the barrel before mine. I heard my gun go off, yet I have no idea whether it hit or not.

Learn your lesson fellow night vision bandits, be A LOT more careful
