The main problem of the infected and its solution

Infected became cool, but there is one problem

During a continuous attack, infected cannot counterattack.

This problem can be solved in the following way:

Teach the infected to repel attacks and disorient the player, as in a blow of force. You can adjust the chance of a player's attack reflection depending on what the player uses.

For example:

1. Fists = 80% chance to repel the attack and disorient the player

2. Knife = 70% chance to repel an attack and disorient a player

3. Sledgehammer = 20% chance to repel an attack and disorient a player

And so on. The heavier the object, the less chance the infected have to repel your attack and disrupt you. While the standard animation of the player’s disorientation is playing, an infected person (taking into account the current attack speed) will beat you 1-2 times before you can continue your attack.

 

Under these conditions, the infected will become an even greater threat in hand-to-hand combat.
