So whats happening?

Not played for ages - it's looking pretty good. It's pitch black and I'm above a city, I have no light. I'm hit by something, I'm bleeding I bandage and run off, I keep getting hit, fall over and my blood is empty and flashing. I can't bandage anymore, also I appear to have lost my only weapon my crowbar. 

Was I hit by another player or infected? If so why can't I hear them moving around? I literally got hit and never heard a sound which suggest a player, how did they track me in the darkness?

When I come round from blacking out if I'm losing blood why can't I bandage?

Did you place the bandages in your hand and use left mouse to bandage? I believe you can have multiple wounds now, as well. As to the source, that's harder to say/know.
