risen.GER 0 Posted December 12, 2018 (edited) Hi everybody, just wanted to post about my issue with the Standalone Server as I was not able to find anything about it here or on other websites. First: Nice you brought DayZ that far, even it took so long. I really like hosting my own servers if files are available for it - sadly very rare today. My Server was set up on December 1., so it is running about 11 days by now. It's almost stock, except a script for switching back to daylight as the night is about to begin, and a liddle modding of the spawning equip. The problem is the constant CPU load of 25% when the server is empty (so one of the 4 cores available). System Setup: AMD A8-7600 (4x3,1Ghz) 16GB DDR3-1866Mhz Windows Server 2012 R2 System is up to date and has some other serverfiles running, all of them from SSD, without a doubt. If needed I can post logs and so on.. Is anyone else experiencing such a load or has a solution for it? Regards, risen Edited December 12, 2018 by risen.GER
risen.GER 0 Posted December 14, 2018 (edited) Hope pushing is allowed, so... *push* and update: Even with a fresh setup of V1.0 my Server has a constant load of 25%. That's really nothing I like to stand with! Please, help anybody? /EDIT: I just wanted to know how the server is going to act on another system. Answer: Same behavior: I copied all my Server files to my gaming rig, started the server up, and really not as expected, it gets to have a constant 25% CPU load (again extactly one Core) on a much more powerful CPU. Gaming rig specs: Intel i5-6600K (4x4,5Ghz OC) 16GB DDR4-3000Mhz Windows 10 1803 Am going to download a full set of fresh server files and try it again.. risen.GER 0 Posted December 14, 2018 Even with completely fresh files with no file changed the server.exe is close to 50% CPU load for the first 3 minutes after startup (did not measure the time exactly) and then drops down to constant 25%. Strange thing are the identical loads on two CPUs with very different power. Could someone please at least confirm this behavior to let me know I'm not alone with it? best regards, risen
zsneerfulz 3 Posted December 14, 2018 Mine does the same thing, its normal. Everything like events, economy, AI, db query/updates and such are always running. My Xeon quad core 3.16GHz runs between 22 and 29%.

It's something else, otherwise I would have a significant lower load on my i5, don't you think? The load does not really differ no matter if there are players online or not. Sometimes it's up to 50%, then goes back to 25%. IMHO it's a bug or anything alike. Is there a way to officially report it?

Henrik Andreassen 0 Posted December 17, 2018 Same issue here. Tested on several Xeon E5's. Dayz totally hijacks one random CPU core and applies full load to it, even with a clean server with no players.

EinfachRobin_ 2 Posted December 17, 2018 DayZ does not support multicore support so it always only uses 1 core.

Definately not acceptable in that way, not even ARK or Minecraft have such high loads! 2 hours ago, EinfachRobin_ said: DayZ does not support multicore support so it always only uses 1 core. So tell me how is it possible that my Server sometimes goes up to 50% on a 4-core system? 11 hours ago, Henrik Andreassen said: Same issue here. Tested on several Xeon E5's. It doesn't really matter which CPU Brand or OS is used I think... I did not report it yet. Am going to do it in the next time..
