Dayz not working for 3 dayz

Alright guys must be something im doing wrong - have downloaded arma 2 and arma 2 arrowhead (CO) downloaded sixupdater - did the file transfer and update double checked files are in the right folder - also downloaded the beta patch however on every launch all I get is - a black screen with loading when I join a server = I can join BLUFOR and select 'survivor' but it then just goes to a black screen with mundane 'loading' writing. Also I have checked the files all seems correct is there something I am missing?

*checked the internet and done the modification to the steam launcher - updated all the files as well only thing I get other than the black loading screen is 'bad version, connection rejected' when i try to join servers through steam launch

any help would be much appreciated.

Many people are having this problem right now. Reinstalling doesnt seem to help. I havent found any solutions. :(

ok so managed to get on a server but I am invisible fml if i downloaded 16gb for this not to work any ideas...?

Just logged into a server no 3rd person - still ok but really laggy perhaps just hit and miss with the patch 1.7.1.5?

Check the link for the "ghost" problem. Your post doesn't indicate you have followed those directions if you have Steam.
