Friend unable to login to any server - stuck at loading

After logging out last night, my friend is unable to log in to any servers today. After waiting on character to create, his character seems to be stuck in limbo at "waiting". We have tried waiting + 30 minutes.

We have tried full re-install of arma , dayz, and battle eye with no luck.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Is his character stuck until the hive restarts?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

*Which version of the game did you purchase? STEAM or RETAIL or MIXED: STEAM

*Are you running an Arma 2 OA beta patch? If so what version?:

yes, 94444

*Which method are you using to launch the game? I.E Sixupdater/steam/batch file: Have tried both!

*What is the Error/Problem you're having? Please provide screenshots if possible: stuck at load screen on any server

*Your PC specs: i have ran dayz before, specs should be fine.

*Your Operating System: windows 7 64 bit

*Have you looked at these threads?: yes, it seems many people are having the same problem.
