Funny but sad story.

So there I was, fresh in beta, making my way through the south coast westward.  The rain was coming down like cats and dogs, and darting in and out of buildings where available was the norm.  As I took a long run through the rain, my temp going down, I spot a barn!  Almost there, and the rain stops, but that barn is looking good to warm up.  When I enter, there is a guy kneeling down with fire materials scattered about, weapon shouldered, startled to see me enter.  I can tell he is shaken by me, and that is understandable, as I would also be in that situation.  I had my shotgun in hand, as you can't trust folks these days.
I engage in speak with him, and he asked me for help, he wanted some matches if I had any.  Well, I am indeed a nice guy, and don't go about murdering people for any reason.  However, as you should be, I was very cautious. I don't want the man to pull out a pistol on my while sifting through my back for matches, or lighting a fire for him.  So, I quickly access my matches and drop them on the ground for him.  See, I am a nice guy!
Not sure if it was his nerves or what, but he was acting a bit strange, not answering me here and there, as if occupied by something else.  In my mind, this could be him trying to communicate with a friend behind my back.  Now I am starting to get a tad paranoid.  Big open door to my back, a perfect avenue for a friend to whack me.  I remain as calm as possible, waiting for him to take the matches and light his fire.  He however does not do so, but instead lays down and turns towards the corner, not answering me.  He then blurts out something quick and nervously.
Now at that same time, I turn to look at the door, and cracks in the barn that allow me to see if any movement is afoot.  This is where the funny comes in.  Little did I know, the act of just turning produces what sounds like footsteps.  Now couple that with the odd communications with this guy, and what instantly pops in to your head?  Mind you, he lays down, perfect for not getting hit by fire from a friend from the door...  Well I put a slug in him without any warning.  I then called out, after positioning myself inside for a possible attack, that I knew they were out there, and I could wait all day.  Essentially, come and get some guy!  Well, I waited there nice and still, and heard no footsteps outside, and no communication at all either.  I sat there for a good 10 minutes, just amped up and waiting.  Nothing..
I then turn left to right and hear that sound again!  I stop, and nothing is heard.  I turn again, and wouldn't you know, there that footstep sound is again.  It then of course clicks in my mind.... OMG, I friggin just murdered this dude.  I felt horrible, and tried to convince myself that perhaps he was still trying to get the drop on me, and the pal took off.  But the more likely story is, I just didn't know about those sounds, and ended this poor guy's life..

Note to devs... Perhaps make the turning sound sound more like shoes/boots pivoting, rather than sounding like actual walking..  If you are reading this my poor fellow, I do apologize for murdering you in such a way.
