Improvement to the weather mechanic

It wouldnt be survival if you didnt have some knowledge to fight the good fight. I hear that you can use the stars like the real stars in time, and traverse... thats really neat, but what if you can see a weather front coming in? Im on a server at the moment and it was raining/foggy/ and i still saw a little light coming though, and i found my bearings. but wouldn't it be cool if you can see it coming first so you can prepare?

Thoughts, Ideas, critiques and improvements?
