Error when I try to open DayZ

I reinstalled the game, the Steam, checked game files, I did all the procedures but the game does not open. The following message appears:


Steam - Error
An error occurred while updating DayZ (Invalid Application Configuration)
Help me please!

This is how to fix "An error occurred while updating DayZ ()" (Or other games).

Go to Steam > Settings > Downloads

You will see "Download Region". Change to another region.

After doing that, steam will ask to restart and after your game will update/download! 

I hope this helped, let me know how you go!
