In-Game map question

I finally found an in-game map for the first time and I was hanging around in some bushes, scouting a city and when I opened the map, it had a blue icon that represented me, but then I saw an Orange Icon that sad "Man". I've seen them several times lately and they pop up at random places, but when I check those places out, I never see anyone.

Is this a bug, or are there really people around that I haven't spotted?

Most likely a bug. I know several times I have killed a Z and orange text saying 'man' has popped up when I've hovered over the corpse. I imagine it's a leftover portion of stock Arma II that still exists in DayZ at times.

Yee when you look at a zombie then look on ur map it jsut shows that zed as Man
