Brace yourselves, Yogcast made an LP of Day-Z

Recommended Posts

You literally sound like some underground music hipster. Shut the fuck up.

1. This mod has been viral for 2 fucking months. If anyone who is subbed to them has yet to discover this mod than they must be solely fed by the Yogscast.

2. Everyone who isn't you and your little group of "higher ups" are capable of playing Day Z from many different styles. This isn't the slave trade. You aren't any better for not playing CoD or L4D. I played both prior to playing Day Z I can safely assume myself and my group can kick your ass and whatever you throw at us right back to your circlejerk of "hardcore" gaming.

3. Shut the Fuck Up

4. The mod isn't going to be turned into anything else. It is going to stay Day Z. It is going to become what rocket and the team want it to be. There is no such thing as catering to casuals, especially for mods.

Cue the 900' date='000 11 year olds running around with a KoS mentality and whining that they wasted $30 of their mom's credit card money.

I think we can all agree on this one.

the game already has a KoS mentality FFS. stop being a fucking idiot. the "trust no one" rule has been around since i first started watching destiny play the game.

umad?

1) This will definitely bring in more players

2) Agreed, though it isn't so much that people have played CoD but that they run into Chernarus and just grief and generally make life miserable. That's his arguement anyways, my verdict is still out...

3) Nice, very mature of you

4) This is the real reason I replied. This isn't true at all. Rocket works for BI, who sees profits from this mod. They want to maximize profits (Naturally, you can't blame them). So if a bunch of players rush in and demand Left 4 Dead, it'll happen whether Rocket wants to or not. I haven't lost faith, maybe the new players will embrace change or BI will be steadfast (though considering the real world benifits of more money I'm not even sure that would be good). But this point makes me very nervous.

Uh no. There is a market for people who find game/mods like Day Z a enjoyable, fun, scary, and awesome experience. There is a market.

Think about it for a second dude. BI CREATED a MILSIM. A MILSIM and found a market. Did they make it a normal shooter when CoD and BF started to sell like hotcakes? No...they stuck to their guns.

Day Z will evolve with ARMA 3 as all the coding that happens with ARMA 3 will be easily transferable into DayZ. And vice versa.

As long as the ARMA engine lives Day Z will be a gritty, difficult, and amazing experience.
