How do you reload mags

I am trying to reload my mags with 556 but my rounds wont combine with my 30 round mags. Also the boxed ammo i can not open them.

If you have the correct ammo, drop the ammo on the floor or you can keep it in your inventory, hold the empty mag in your hand, then go over to the ammo press B (combine option may not show) then press and hold RT to load them. To open boxed ammo put the ammo box in your hand then press and hold RT :)

 

Also double check you have the correct magazine too, i made the mistake of trying to load 556 into an AK mag for a good half an hour when i first started, learnt my lesson very quick.

yes I'm finding loading a mag from the inventory sometimes doesn't work and just unloads mag.

When I unbox 556 I drop them to the ground, then switch between the empty stag mags, point at each pile and load the mag that way. You can also avoid odd stacks this way (ideally they should really combine when you pick them back up, currently does not)

Put them in hand hold RT to open box put clip in hand press b over ammo then hold RT it will load. Put hand in weapon press b over clip
