What counts as DCing?

I'm pretty unsure of what I should do when I die in DayZ, and I would rather not join the assholes that DC. Should I abort to the lobby? Should I wait a little while after death? Is there anything else I can do? Can somebody help me so I don't accidently become a douche, please.

DC referings to aborting during a fire-fight, or being chase after zeds,

It's an exploit that you can abuse to get out of "sticky" situations, apart from that, there is no problem.

Yeah, pretty much escaping tight situation with DC is considered exploiting.

I consider unarmed newbies dcing away from zombies legit though. And if you manage to get in a cover from a firefight for a good 10 seconds and dc I don't consider it exploiting, but if you DC away from me when I just shot you in the legs with my DMR (true story) to not die I consider you a douche who shouldn't play survival games to escape every damn survival situation.

Step 3: Select yes.

Pull your internet plug

Alternative 2:

Alt f4/ other force quit controls

Stop trolling. You know well that he just wants to know what counts as the fag dcing / alt f4'ing that people detest on the forums and not the exact description for the term disconnection.
