Thumbs up for the guy on DE77 that did not log out o/

Yesterday we were on DE77 going for a military camp in Berezino. We spotted a person going into the tents and we debated amongst ourselves as to what to do.

We kept sights on him and he clearly knew we were there keeping tabs on him. He did not try to communicate with us, so it soon became a hostile situation: Us fearing for our lives that he was trying to get his mates to help him out, he fearing we were about to take him out.

Zombies kept aggroing him and we saw him passing out a lot of the times and I felt a bit sorry for him to be honest. Maybe we would've helped him if he cried out for peace or a cry for help even.

We decided after roughly 15 minutes to come down and shoot the zombies around the tent where he was still in and see what the intentions were. And finally went in for the kill.

You had on you excellent loot: Engine parts, fuel parts, cool weapons, Alice pack (Which I did take.) and last but not least: Antibiotics <3

Every other scumbag would have left the server to come back another day to save his loot.

You sir, have earned my respect and that of our whole clan for not logging out and standing your ground. You are a hero in my book, and next time when we meet I hope it will be another glorious moment in Dayz, be it an epic firefight or an attempt for peace and trust.

It is too bad direct communication is not working or things may have turned out differently. I really hope there is a fix for that soon. Anyway kudos to the guy for not logging out, it seems every time I manage to turn the table on someone they manage to disappear.

Direct communication works on beta patch servers. I highly recommend using them. Had some pretty funny encounters over the mic.

I haven't dc'd once ;) driving my red lada the other day I had just filled it up at Gorka and headed back onto the road where the car was taken out. I sat there contemplating what I should do and thought I would make a run for it! Didn't even get chance to hit the mouse button and I was shot dead inside of my little old car :(

Direct chat does work, you are just either not running the beta patch or not playing on beta servers.

We tested it last night on DE77 using the latest beta patch and direct comms wasn't working for us. Nobody could hear anything or see anybodies mouths move.

Oh and to the guy that DaRK oMeN XIII is talking about: Sorry for shooting you in the face when you passed out. I did kinda feel bad after.
