How to get to my friend's location fast?

With the new patch, the game is much harder. I've found the best way to meet up with my friend is to chain-suicide myself till i spawn near him.

Does anybody have a better solution? if we try to *gear up* it doesn't work we end un getting gangbanged by zombies.

We should be able to choose in which region we respawn at least. Running 2h to meet your friend is way too *hardcore* imo.

Just a case of suiciding until you spawn relatively close I think. Not the easiest of methods but if you have a map then it's not so bad.

as melbo said that is one way to do it, the other is to use the online map and make your way to each other

People should be able to choose their spawn location, albeit with some limitations to be honest. Would save the frustration of having to kill yourself and go through the login process again (which probably further strains an already strained database)

Having to travel a distance by foot to meet up with people is really fun initially, but it becomes a dull part of the game pretty quick the 10th time around. Alternatively I suppose they could devise some sort of 'camp spawn' system, where players can spawn at their tent at least once. (Obviously there needs to be some way to prevent people from setting up a tent and continuously spawning there everytime they die, allowing them to easily travel to the place where they died and kill whoever killed them)

Check with the mods to make sure this isn't in the realm of hacking or bannable offenses. If they get a report of this, it may be misunderstood.

One solution is to plan ahead where you want to meet! So let's say my buds and I want to group up together on thursday, all of us make sure that our last log off on wednesday is near where we want to meet so when we all log in on thursday were all very close to each other.

This is a hardcore game and you need to hardcore plan shit out! or play BF3 lol

heh, i just suggested this in the forum to add a group/party feature so people could spawn together. I did however suggest only if you just died to have the ability to group as i don't think it would be fair to have weapons and spawn together, it might cause some issues.

the thing is, you have a good chance to die on the way to meet your friend (or you have like 5000 blood remaining) making the two hour trip a complete time wasting experience.

Id like more convenience...Perhaps *CHOOSE IN WHICH GENERAL AREA YOU WILL SPAWN* aka krutoy cap, three valley, ect. It would be a random location within the zone. That way, the meeting up process would be much much less frustrating, you would be playing with your friend (and not running alone and dieing cause the game is really tough alone) AND you could not abuse anything (since the spawning would be random and the areas are quite large).

Whaddaya say? I know the game wants to be really realistic, but its making things really hard and painful. THE GAME IS ALREADY HARD! Making people spawn relatively *near* each others wouldnt really make the game easier, it would just make it more enjoyeable and zombies would still kick your ass.

or AT LEAST choose which general part of the map you wanna spawn (south-west shore) (south shore) (south-east shore) and (north shore). Suiciding constantly to hope to respawn near my buddy isnt really fun TBH (nor is running forever and dieing in the process)
