First Experience with Ghosters

So I lost my 23 days alive character to a server error (He was a mountain man scraping buy on pond scum and goat meat) and started fresh, found myself some decent gear in elektro and decide to poke around a bit more, as it had been so long since I dared visiting elektro during the day.

After a bit of poking about me and a buddy are in elektro at the same time and I decide to have a bit of fun by going to the top of the office building roof, and I immediately spot someone in the general store. As I lower my Lee Enfield to try to communicate, he fires his winchester. He's a bad shot. Doesn't even come close, so I raise my enfield back up and fire. Hits him right between the eyes and he's dead. I check my top right [bandits killed: 1] and I knew I had got him, but then a male and a female survivor turn onto the street, and I lower my enfield again, walk to the side of the roof and salute. I then yell through direct "I could have killed you! But I'm friendly! See? Gun down and saluting!" to which I get the reply of "that doesn't mean anything!" and two Winchester slugs to the chest.

I was a little confused as to why they would even bother replying with anything other than bullets if they were going to dismiss every Northern Friendly (as I call it, because everyone I've met up north does these actions) action as nothing. But as luck would have it I spawn at elektro. My buddy kills the male player who killed me and the female killed him while I was making my way. I loot my friends corpse and take his winchester and head back up to my perch to see if I can find the woman who killed my friend and acted as accomplice in my own demise. And she is climbing up the elektro hospital, I line up a shot, wait for her to notice, and right as she does... *Poof* she's gone. and my bullet hits nothing but hospital concrete. the shot attracts all the newly respawned zombies and my buddy is having trouble entering the offices with so many zombies. So I start clearing them and then *Poof* they are gone. And we both know.

The Bitch ghosted.

Sure enough, right on the lower level from where I was lined up she was lying there. My buddy runs up and axes her a question. It sends her head rolling. But then his head opens like a ripe melon, as the fellow he had killed earlier had apparently made his way back on another server and set up right behind me as he came in.

I wish I could tell you that my sportsmanship won the conflict. I wish I could tell you that my skill was enough to take down these blatant cheaters.

I wish I could, but I can't.

These people made me stop leaving the server anytime I felt another player near me when I was looting, these people made me realize just how ridiculous some people are.

I NEVER want to be like these people. I play DayZ like its me in there now. Like I'm the one on the screen, not an avatar. If I die, I die. No matter how rare my gear is, or how spectacularly I'm outmatched, I don't have the option to pussy out and take a better spot.

So thank you ghosters, for making me remember why I used to play like a sportsman. and thank you for helping me do it again.

I may have less gear than you, live shorter lives than you, and be less successful than you at my in-game goals. But I am still better than you, because I can take what I dish out.

Yeah Ghosters are a bunch of Tossers. me and a buddy were raiding the NW airfield when we had a sniper pinned down in the air dome. I was flanking out to toss a grenade in at him when i took a bullet to the back knocking me unconcious. My buddy then scopes over to behind me and sees a guy coming up on me and puts a bullet in his head. i regain concious, bandage, and go around the air dome and look inside. It was empty. The sniper inside had ghosted to a airdome behind me to be able to zero in on where my buddy was sniping him from and saw me outside the first air dome.

Luckily justice was served this day. Ghosters and DCers are SO LAME.

To shorten your story, you could have just said ghosters suck because we have all experienced them so we didn't need another post about it.

Anyways, as soon as I hear someone say "I could have killed you", I would also immediately turn around and shoot that person in the chest. He sounds like the type of person who would shoot me in the back of the head if I wondered around town near him for too long.

There needs to be some type of delay on bailout out on servers and another delay if they quit the next server after only being on it for a short time... but I'm sure people have mentioned this already.

Like "You there, beside the northern hospital in Cherno"

-man hides behind a tree-

"Yes you trying to hide behind the tree, you need to be on the other side so I can't see you"

-moves to otherside of tree

"If I was going to shoot you I would have by now"

-asks 'why didn't i shoot him' -

"I'm just sitting in a nice hiding spot watching things, surviving~ no need to impede others in the progress"

-man loots hospital and starts to look around-

-two people appear on roof top-

"hi up there"

-they proceed to open fire on the guy below them-

BOOM BOOM

"and that's why I'm up here :3"

-guy follows zombies-

"I'll shoot whatever comes up that ladder :3"

-guy DCs-

So i switch my spot over to the other outlook point of mine feeling the first is no longer safe, and is rather open

-guy reappears in that spot-

"Nope try again~"

-guy runs off into the night-

I managed to ping with with a flare as he ran past the hospital again

You're threatening the other person by saying that. In this game with paranoid people and unpredictable personalities, you can not expect some random person to believe you're not going to shoot them later on. Why not eliminate the threat now?

To other people who are new to the game and are adopting the disconnect to save yourself strategy. I'm pretty sure they will shoot you on sight considering you lowered your guard and have revealed your position.

Actually, you know what. I'll experiment with this tomorrow. I'll go around saying "I could have shot you" and see if I die in the next couple of seconds. Of course, on a guy holding a weapon. I'll record this for my video to put up on Youtube too.

Sad thing is nomatter how hard honest players say this on forums or ingame cheaters just keep doing there thing nomatter what as long the game give them that opportunity they keep playing FALSE, its SAD but thats how it is these days many don't wanne win honest way :(

Im also stick to honesty if i lose even to cheaters i still have my dignity and proud playing by the rules as gamer always should be.
