Morale system

Recommended Posts

I read so much about players killing players for no reason that maybe it would be a solution to create a morale system.

If you are near to another player you get certain bonusses, like taking more hits before bleeding, bleeding out more slowly, taking longer before you pass out, less breaking bones, reloading faster, running faster, taking longer before eating/drinking surviving longer with the icons flashing.

Considering all these you might even give a survivor two traits out of this list which only he can provide when he is accompanied by someone else. The effects could be pretty small, it won't be like you're running 50% faster all of a sudden. You could also not display the traits someone has in order to prevent people form saying we need someone with this or that trait.

The effect would not stack, so it just get's activated when you're within a certain range of others (or invite someone to join your group? Group idea? or are there already groups in arma?) and won't increase when you're with more.

This just doesn't make any sense at all with the type of game DayZ is. Far too many unrealistic elements.

It's a no from me.

Then bandit groups would also get the bonuses as well and a game like DayZ shouldn't offer 'perks', some people like to work alone. Interesting idea but if perks are given for being in groups, they should not boost things like reload speed/hits before bone breaks

Ehm' date=' then what is the sense of walking in a group together? (In real life) Running in a group mostly makes you last longer then while running alone. This is about the psychological effect of being in company. Maybe you're thinking about these bonusses too severe, i already guessed people would. Just think about slight increments of 15% or something, that might not really be noticeable but could for example make you win a fight because you're in a group and reloaded slightly faster than the other person.

The traits you would have would not benefit you at all if you're alone because they are not activated, only when you're accompanied by someone else.

Thing is, with this sort of game you can choose. Do you want realism? Then stop complaining about unfair situations because realism isn't fair. If you want realism then there would be no zombie respawns, and seriously... wtf... were talking about realism in a zombie mod? xD

I never got that, the moment you start talking about how it would be if zombies really existed in real life people all go on about how that's a bullshit argument because they don't exist. Yet you have a game with zombies that you want to be realistic. What?

Well that doesn't matter for you then as your chances of killing a group of four bandits are smaller than them killing you. They are with more people, you are alone. Without these slight improvements they are better off anyway so it won't even impact the loner's that much. It's just to encourage people to maybe work together. Simply said, if you're an einselganger then... tough luck.
